Megan Kennedy Marty is a Partner with Duggan Bertsch’s Business and Trust & Estate Planning Groups.  She advises clients on a wide range of business, real estate, and trust and estate planning matters, including succession planning, charitable giving, and trust and estate administration taxes. She works with individuals, families, business owners, and professionals to provide legal advice designed to address their needs and objectives.

With a deep understanding of legal and fiscal complexities that impact individuals, families, and business owners, she helps her clients build, protect, and preserve their wealth with confidence and clarity. Megan takes pride in demystifying complex legal matters, empowering clients to make informed decisions at every stage of their personal and professional lives.

Prior to working at Duggan Bertsch, Megan practiced at a Downtown Des Moines law firm for over a decade and, prior to that, at a regional firm.

Megan graduated with an accounting degree from Iowa State University, summa cum laude, and then went on to receive her Master of Accountancy and Law Degree, with distinction, from the University of Iowa. She is admitted to practice law in Iowa, Minnesota, and Montana. Megan has been selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® for her expertise in: Business Organizations, Commercial Litigation, Corporate Law and Trusts and Estates. In addition, she has been recognized by Super Lawyers® for her expertise in Estate Planning and Probate.

Outside of her professional life, Megan enjoys time with her spouse and their three children. She has served on community boards and committees during her 17-year private practice career.
