Mary Vandenack, JD, CTEC, COLPM®, CAP®, Accredited Estate Planner®(Distinguished) has thirty three years of experience supporting private wealth clients in the areas of tax, private wealth planning, asset protection, business exit planning, complex trusts and estates, philanthropy, and state income tax issues. She is the Omaha office managing partner at DUGGAN BERTSCH, LLC. Mary’s practice serves businesses and business owners, fund developers, executives, real estate developers and investors, health care providers, companies in the financial industry, the technology industry, and tax-exempt organizations.
Mary is a nationally recognized private wealth attorney, licensed in New York, Michigan, and Nebraska, serving the private family wealth client in the areas of tax, trusts and estates, asset protection planning, business exit planning, and philanthropic strategies. Mary is a trusted strategist, advisor, consultant to professionals, and advocate for entrepreneurs, families, and visionaries who want to build, protect, and give back. Mary has a particular passion for assisting families creating positive family legacies or engaging in unique philanthropic journeys and designs high level strategies for complex cases. . Mary currently serves on the Technology Committee for ACTEC where she advocates for the AI Enhanced Legal Experience. She also serves as the state chair for ACTEC in Nebraska. Mary has served in numerous roles in the American Bar Association Real Property Trust and Estate section as well as the Law Practice Division. Mary is an AI Evangelist and has been named to ABA LTRC Distinguished Women of Legal Tech, received the James Keane award for e-lawyering, and serves on ABA Standing Committee on Information and Technology Systems as well as the Standing Committee on Cybersecurity. Mary is a frequent writer and speaker on tax, private wealth planning including complex trusts, tax planning, and asset protection planning as well as utilizing AI in the practice of law.
