Kristy’s practice is focused on tax and corporate law where she assists clients across all phases of corporate and transactional planning. She assists clients in navigating day to day legal matters and risk analysis/mitigation, including commercial contracts, operating agreements, employment, consulting and advisory agreements, and corporate and board governance matters. As a member of the tax team, she also advises clients on U.S. and international planning issues and pre- and post-transaction strategy.  

Kristy previously practiced as a CPA, during which time she held senior leadership positions in the insurance services and technology spaces. In these roles, she has participated in and led multiple strategic buy-side M&A deals. She also has experience with software implementation and cross-border transactions.  

Kristy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Carthage College, a Master of Accountancy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Juris Doctorate from Loyola University Chicago, graduating with a Certificate in Transactional Law.

Prior to joining DUGGAN BERTSCH, LLC, Kristy worked in various in-house accounting roles and in a consulting capacity at KPMG where she served clients in the financial services sector.
