Griffin R. Scott, JD
A native of Park View, Iowa, a suburb of the Quad Cities, Griffin R. Scott is an Associate Attorney in Duggan Bertsch’s Estate Planning and Corporate Law groups. Based in West Des Moines, Iowa, Griffin works closely with individuals, families, and business owners to develop tailored solutions that protect assets, preserve legacies, and support long-term growth. Griffin’s practice encompasses sophisticated estate planning, business succession strategies, entity structuring, and corporate transactions.
Before joining Duggan Bertsch, Griffin worked at a respected civil law firm in Des Moines, where he gained hands-on experience in estate planning, corporate sales, entity formations, restructures, and business disputes. He also worked on a variety of civil litigation matters, including trust and estate disputes—experience that continues to inform his comprehensive and pragmatic approach to legal problem-solving.
Griffin earned his law degree and Business Law Certificate from Drake University in 2022, graduating with honors. While at Drake, he served on the Drake Law Review for two years, including one year as Production Editor on the Editorial Board. Griffin holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Finance (Investment emphasis) and Economics (Business emphasis) from the University of Northern Iowa, where he graduated cum laude. His undergraduate financial and portfolio management internships provided early exposure to both legal and financial disciplines, laying the groundwork for his integrated approach to client service.
